What is it about Monsanto that drives them to take the piss out of us at every possible opportunity?
Monsanto are in the courts yet again, with 2 men suing Monsanto for doing their normal Ducking and Diving. This time it’s about the mislabelling of component parts in their famous Round Up poison, one of which is Polyethoxylated Tallowamine, or POEA, which is in itself toxic. Monsanto have included in the list of “Inert” ingredients in the formula, and the EPA haven’t bothered to evaluate any potential danger to the public or the wildlife because……….it’s listed as “Inert”
Great stuff, so the POEA has not undergone meaningful tests and trials, because it has been called inert and its presumed on that basis to be harmless. Considering the planet is awash with Round Up, and its being sprayed all over the place including Parks and public places, Schoolyards and sports grounds, I would have thought that somebody could have been bothered to get of their fat arses and do a thorough check on every component of this crap.
In chemistry, the term inert is used to describe a substance that is not chemically reactive. Wiki tells us that the Ingestion of >85 mL of the concentrated formulation is likely to cause significant toxicity in adults (Humans that is). Are we to suppose this toxicity is conveyed by bloody telepathy then? If its toxic to humans it is because the poor sod that swallowed it is suffering from a chemical reaction of some sort……it might well be burning his lungs out, but it would be a chemical burn not like swallowing a lit firework type burn…..or am I missing something?
