After 65 years of the NHS, a service which has been the envy of the world, it appears that its days are numbered. In the last 5 years, private contracts have doubled to what is now almost €12bn a year in funding. Nice for, Bupa, Rich “Dickie” Branson and Jeremy Khunt (that’s a silent K), but healthcare should not be about financial gain.
