And The River Ran Red…..With Nickel

The world’s biggest nickel producer, Norilsk Nickel, has finally admitted (after flatly denying), a spillage at one of its plants was responsible for the river Daldykan in the Russian Arctic turning blood-red. Heavy rains caused a “filtration dam” at its Nadezhda plant to overflow. It says there is no danger to people or wildlife to which we reply, well you drink it then.
