Each headline is a link to the MSM article concerned, because you cannot just make this stuff up and I just wanted to prove it to you
Supposed to relieve housing shortages in London and home-counties (and possibly a good way to use up all that lovely surplus land local tory politicians have been buying up over the last 10 years). Maybe they planned to build them underground in the hope nobody would notice?
Research and reports on Drug abuse in the UK were instigated because the Tories had too much petty cash they couldn’t account for and had to spend it somewhere. The report came back and stated that Society was all screwed up and bent out of shape by drug abuse due to NeoCon austerity measures. Tories then launched another investigation into this allegation which found that it was Tories that had applied austerity in the first place. Any and all copies of said reports put on a memory stick and sent to Landfill. Everyone has now forgotten
Bunch of Facebook workers put a story out about Facebook either being used to tell stories, or ignore stories or to cover up stories that might or might not have a public interest factor on the grounds that the public wouldn’t be interested. Sounds highly unlikely, in fact it sounds more likely to be a “Double whammy” Conservative publicity stunt. Everyone has now forgotten
A long term inquiry into multiple cases of child abuse has halted following resignations of officers appointed to conduct it. Apart from the overall impression that things are not what they seem, Mrs May seems to be cocking a deaf ear to calls for getting on with the job. A spokesperson for CCHQ stated “There seems to be an expectation that MP’s are elected in order to deliver election promises, but people must understand that wealth creation, increasing MP’s salaries and dealing with the vast backlog of expense claims MUST have priority over the more mundane aspects of running this great nation of ours”
Surrey County Council were tinkering with ways of either making some money or taking some money off the taxpayer (Either way they buggered it up). A “financial report” was written but, “Whoops” it disappeared just before a crucial Budget Meeting. It magically reappeared 6 weeks after the meeting was held….and way too late to be of any use. A few people got angry, a letter was sent to The Times. Everyone has now forgotten
…Especially for those doing the funding!
David Cameron authorised a report about the foreign funding of Terrorist groups, and blow me down, the report was deemed to be of a sensitive nature. It has thus been filed away in the folder marked “Sensitive stuff, HIDE for 50 Years”. In the middle of all this, the German Intelligence services pointed the finger at some people for applying a “Long term strategy of influence”. Nobody has seen the report since. Forgotten?
Ex- Conservative, MP Gavin Barwell, as Housing Minister, was told to review the Building Regulations and a report was made, but seemingly sat on……FOR 4 YEARS. The only reason we know about this delay, now in June 2017, is that today, a huge fire has demolished a Tower block in London killing dozens of people.
In that report were serious and urgent recommendations reference the standard of fire protections afforded in housing stock.
Presumably that report has now been found but frankly the way these pages are shaping up I wouldn’t bank on it. In any event, as a Housing Minister, Gavin Barwell would make a fine piece of door furniture.
(Think Knobs, Ed.)
The Labour party and some 9/11 survivors got fed up waiting to see the report on Terrorist Funding, yet to be published, and like us, they are also still waiting. Won’t be long before it is forgotten altogether, which is the whole point of the Tory Reporting strategy it seems.
Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education) produced a damning on the privatised adult education company LearnDirect. Basically they gave it the worst grades it is possible to give after an inspection. Having removed tens of millions of pounds from the company (While still receiving big government subsidies), the owners of the firm had the brass neck to demand in the courts that Ofsted suppress the report, because ….wait for it…….
“It might cause them to lose future lucrative Government contracts and be forced into administration if the Ofsted report were to be published”
On a personal note I cannot agree that educating people is a business, especially one that seems to be getting milked for all it is worth. (Just imagine how much personal “Wealth Generation” took place during all the buy-ins and buy-outs of this little lot. Standing by to Forget.
“What report?” Says a spokesman from DEFRA. Leaving the EU is likely to cause a large rise in the price of food in the UK…. says a report in Farmers weekly. That is a bit scary for the government of the day so they bury the report quickly and hope that nobody notices the price of a loaf of bread hitting £5 with individual slices available from Wonga at £1 a pop. (Yes, that’s Free Markets for you!)
September 2017 (2 for 1 month)
Hiding reports has become so commonplace that Theresa May has decided to enter into a bulk purchase arrangement, binning 9 reports all in one go. Apparently they demonstrated that claims of migration “taking jobs and lowering wages” do neither of those things but the Conservatives would much rather you didn’t get to hear about it. So far this is a monthly record. Let’s see what October brings for us to forget all about.
“Civil servants” seem to have been checking out files from the archives and not putting them back, claiming them as “Lost”. Funnily enough a large number of these files cover highly controversial events…it is almost…..as if somebody was trying to rewrite the History books. Now why such a thing would be happening with a Conservative government on watch, with issues like The Falklands War or the infamous Zinoviev letter reported as missing is anybodys guess. My guess is that “The Establishment” are covering their bright Blue arses…again.
Tory Government lose Amber Rudd to the Windrush scandal about forcibly returning bona fide invited migrants back home, some after 60 years of hard work in the UK. The paperwork on the affair was deliberately hidden from public scrutiny in a cowardly move by PM Theresa May who seems to have been implicated in the affair during her previous position as Home Secretary
From Evolve Politics headline after BuzzFeed News originally filed an FOI, with the Ministry Of Justice to see an Impact assessment reference the legal aid cuts. These were passed under the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (LASPO). In response, the M.o.J. released a six-page summary of the report, but denied that a full report even existed. Now, they’ve been shown up, and their pants are alight. (Have anyone ever tried summarising a report that doesn’t exist? None of the people I have ever worked for would pay me try that for sure)
The Tory Government has made a total bodge of trying to initiate what it laughingly calls “Universal Credit” and now causing very real hardship for thousands of people, so guess what? They instigate an impact assessment on their abomination and when the report is published nobody is allowed to see it…it is a secret never to be told. Give me the strength to forget!
The United Nations sent a commissioner to the UK to investigate claims that it was slipping back into the middle ages. UN man Philip Alston produced a damning report on the state of the poorer folk of the UK, and especially highlighting the millions of children living in poverty.
The Conservative government was heard to be Tut Tutting in the background and the report seems to have been used in Tory HQ as WC paper for all the good it has done British society as a whole
The House of Commons asks the government to take legal advice on Brexit and bring it back to the HoC for members to scrutinise. The advice is published but Parliament are told they can only have a “Summary” of that advice. That is not what was agreed.
Looking back on the last 3 years, there has been an average of one story per month about the “scandalous dereliction of duty” that is the covering up or denial of access to reports that concern serious issues of interest to the public at large.
One a month is not a co-incidence, it is orchestrated, and it is in itself one big cover-up. The whole Tory party Smoke and Mirrors game is there as a distraction, just like the Donald Trump circus in the US, and the 25 year sustained attack on the EU by British media
The major corporations have eroded our governments and our law courts and they are a mere sniff away from fixing it so that we cannot even change things back when a more caring form of government takes control again.
Our Democracies are being stolen and shredded, and the big vested business interests of the Kochs and the Trumps of this world think they are close to the winning post.
They may well be, and if they are it will be our fault, for not kicking up a holy stink and demanding those reports get found and disclosed
